Man With No Pulse Lives in Canada

There's a man living in Canada who has no pulse. This amazing occurance isn't so amazing when you know that he is the recipient of a new form of mechanical heart. Pretty interesting.

I wonder what effect this will have on the rest of the circulatory system. It seems like this is a significant change to the operational conditions which could have dramatic side effects.
